Chelsey Koppersmith, MS, LPC

Chelsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. She has over 12 years of experience as a mental health professional. Chelsey graduated from Troy University with a MS degree in Counseling Psychology. She has a passion for working with clients through a collaborative relationship to help them achieve their desired goals by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy techniques. Chelsey has specialized in working with children, adolescents, and adults focusing on anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, parent/child relationship issues, self-esteem, and life transitions. She engages children in therapy through play therapy techniques which help to develop skills and strategies to address emotional expression, problem-solving, coping skills, and social skills. 

 

Chelsey strives to provide her clients with a safe, warm, and non-judgmental environment. She believes that being her true, authentic self assists in building therapeutic rapport and helping her clients along their healing journey. She empowers her clients to believe they can heal, grow, and change because their identity is not in what has happened to them or what they have done. 

Chelsey enjoys being out in nature hiking, paddle boarding, traveling, or trying something new. She believes that life is best lived from a holistic perspective of mind, body, and spirit all working together in harmony. Her favorite quote is, “Grow through what you go through.” By Tyrese Gibson. 

Chelsey provides services out of the Gilbert office, which is close to Queen Creek, Mesa, Tempe, and Chandler.
