Curtis Wilmer, MA, LAC

My name is Curtis, and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who focuses on clinical work with individuals and couples. I originally graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance. I worked in the finance world for many years before considering a change to pursue my true interests. I later graduated from the clinical mental health counseling program at Northern Arizona University and this change towards counseling reflects an authentic passion for, and devotion to, quality mental healthcare.

My view of counseling is seen through a holistic lens of all components that make up our lives, which incorporates mental, physical, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing. Our time together will allow us to explore your hopes for change, which may include anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, life & career transitions, and self-limiting beliefs. Our counseling together may utilize experiential techniques, parts work integration, mindfulness practice, and components of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I am certified in Gottman Method Couples Therapy – Level 1 and am a clinician-in-training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

I am currently scheduling new clients (18+) for individual & couples counseling.
